SOPHIE SUMMER MUSE

.GEORGIA

Welcome to our SOPHIE muse series where we connect with creative women who inspire us.

Meet our latest SOPHIE Muse, Georgia Harris. Georgia shares a glimpse into her summer, filled with slow days, outdoor adventures & meaningful moments with the people she loves.

What have you been up to this summer?
This summer has been a mix of slowing down and getting outside whenever I can. I’ve been spending a lot of time adventuring locally on hikes, getting into nature, creating content (I just started Youtube!), and soaking up time with friends and family. It’s been about enjoying simple moments and making the most of the season without overloading the calendar which I have absolutely been thankful for.

You recently got engaged, congratulations! What are you enjoying most about the wedding planning?
Thank you so much! It's such a special time and I’ve been loving the dreaming stage of wedding planning. We are having 30 people at our Wanaka wedding this November. Our nearest and dearest, so it hasn't at all felt overwhelming, apart from the fact that I feel overwhelmed with gratitude! Talking through ideas with Samnand focusing on what feels meaningful to us is so important. We’re trying to keep it intentional and not get too caught up in the noise, which has made the process really exciting and special. I am getting my wedding dress made by a local Christchurch designer Sarah Stoute Bespoke and that's really special, she's amazing!

Living a life full of adventure is at the heart of your day-to-day ,how do you make sure you live a well-balanced life and look after your mental health?

Spending time outdoors is a huge part of how I stay balanced. Movement, fresh air and being present are all really important to me. I also try to listen to when I need to slow down, prep good nutritious meals (especially through busy seasons) and make space for rest and connection. Balance for me isn’t about doing everything perfectly, but about tuning in to what I need in each season of life and being flexible with the ebs & flows of the mountains or hurdles that face us.

What is your biggest motivation?
My biggest motivation is creating a life that feels full and aligned, and hopefully encouraging others to do the same. Since we moved to Christchurch from Auckland, our pace of life has slowed down drastically. We are able to experience wholesome and more intentional days which we feel so lucky for. I love sharing experiences, adventures and everyday moments in a way that feels honest and inspiring, without pressure or perfection.

What are your non-negotiables every day to feel your best?
Some form of movement, getting outside if possible, nourishing food, and good sleep! Even on busy days, those small things make a big difference to how I feel.
